Prime Healthcare is pleased to announce the new KryptosText Application for secure, encrypted texting. Prime Healthcare’s KryptosText enables our clinicians to communicate patient-related information with other health care providers, nurses and other clinical support staff. Prime Healthcare’s KryptosText Application complements your current communication workflows. Importantly, Prime Healthcare’s KryptosText Application replaces unsecured texting with secured texting, ultimately helping clinicians to make patient care decisions more efficiently.
Personal Information is information that can identify, relate to, describe, be associated with or could reasonable be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular person.
How the Prime Healthcare’s KryptosText Application is Accessed
Prime Healthcare gives logon credentials to the KryptosText authorized User. The authorized User logs on and accesses the KryptosText Application on a device authorized by Prime Healthcare.
Information Collected by Prime Healthcare Using the KryptosText Application
Prime Healthcare collects the following information, using the KryptosText application:
Sensitive Personal Information, namely, texted information among health care providers, related to patient care and The KryptosText application User’s name, Logon credentials and usage data, such as time stamps associated with the User’s usage and files viewed by the User.
All texted information is Protected Health Information (PHI) under the Health Insurance Accountability and Portability Act of 1996, as amended, (HIPAA) and the Rules and Regulations pursuant thereto. All PHI is governed by HIPAA.
In addition, both all the information collected using Prime Healthcare’s KryptosText application and the KryptosText application itself, conform to this Notice of Privacy Policy.
How Prime Healthcare and the KryptosText Application Use Personal Information
How Prime Healthcare and KryptosText Protect Personal Information, including Sensitive Personal Information
Prime Healthcare and the KryptosText application, contain, implement and maintain reasonable and appropriate security practices, processes and procedures, appropriate to the nature of the Information, to protect the Information collected by the KryptosText application, from unauthorized or illegal access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure.
In addition, All Personal Information, including Sensitive Personal Information, collected by the KryptosText application, is encrypted end to end, at rest and in transit.
Prime Healthcare does not share or sell any Personal Information or Sensitive Personal information collected by the KryptosText application.
Prime Healthcare’s KryptosText website does not use Cookies.
Prime Healthcare’s KryptosText Application is not knowingly accessed or used by persons under 18 years of age. Prime Healthcare does not issue KryptosText credentials to persons under 18 years of age.
Prime Healthcare’s website and the KryptosText Application may update this Notice of Privacy Policy from time to time. Authorized KryptosText Users will receive, and the KryptosText website will have, a notice of any updates to this Privacy Policy.
Your Rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020. (CPRA)
The CCPA/CPRA provides California residents with specific rights regarding their personal information. If you are a resident of California, you have the following rights.
You have the right to be notified. We will tell you which categories of Personal Data are being collected and the purposes for which your Personal Data are being used.
You have the right to know/access. You have the right to request that we disclose information to you about our collection, use, sale, if any, disclosure for business purposes, and sharing of Personal Information. We will verify that your request is being sent by you by asking you to provide us with your fingerprint.

You have the right to delete the Personal Information the KryptosText Application collects about you. You can request that we delete Personal Information collected from you, subject to certain exceptions, such as if we are legally required to keep the information.
You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of your Consumer rights. Any contract provision that says you waive these rights is unenforceable.
You have the right to limit use and disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information. You can direct us to only use your Sensitive Personal Information for limited purposes, such as providing you with the services you requested.

Prime Healthcare’s Information Retention and Destruction Policy for Information Collected By the KryptosText Application
Collected information is retained only as long as the information is useful for Prime Healthcare’s purposes, stated above (How Prime Healthcare Uses KryptosText information). When no longer useful for the stated purposes, the texted information and the User’s Personal Information collected by the KryptosText application, will be destroyed by being degaussed.
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 5 business days of receipt of your request. We will disclose and deliver the required information, free of charge within 45 days of receiving your verifiable request. Disclosures will not exceed the 12-month period preceding the verifiable request’s receipt by Prime Healthcare.
